A great start to 2015!

2014 was an outstanding year for Builders Design! We saw impressive growth and expanded our footprint regionally to efficiently and effectively service our valued clients from Texas, to Minnesota and all points eastward!  Looks like we have refined our recipe to provide exemplary customer service, while having our corporate and regional representatives come from the design world, with great experience and credentials.

From our corporate office, Jessica Boyd, (10 year Builders Design veteran and former Design Director), took over our Northeast sales division. After many years as a designer and leader of our design department, Jess brings a unique skill set to our customers in DC, MD., and other locations in the Northeast.

After being involved in thousands of installations, no one knows the Virginia market better, and she delivers an awesome customer experience.

From our Greensboro office, Elizabeth Hagie, (degreed interior designer and 10 year plus Builders Design veteran), professionally and masterfully manages, Raleigh, Charlotte, SC, and Nashville. Elizabeth’s work ethic is second to none, and always puts her valued clients first! She too, has great knowledge of the markets she represents and would be a great extension of any builders marketing department in the Southeast.

In our Atlanta Office, Jennifer Payne, (degreed interior designer and 15 year industry and 4 year, BD veteran), exceeds client expectations on a daily basis. Jenn, works in a quasi Sales and Design position. Her passion is truly design, but her clients enjoy the relationship so much, that they request to work directly with her. After 15 years in the business, Jenn and her team in Atlanta, offer the hottest in merchandising trends, as well as design, architecture, street scape and elevation recommendations to clients throughout GA, FL and TX.

“You’ve come a long way, baby”

We ended 2014 with another exciting endeavor and milestone project for our Builders Design’s Multi-Family team with the design and installation of Plant 64, a historical adaptive reuse development.  The 1916 RJ Reynolds cigarette factory was renovated into a hot apartment compound by Pennrose and C.A. Harrison Companies, with collaboration from Commonwealth Architects, Capstone Building Corporation, Bonaventure Realty Group and Builders Design.

In 1875, a 25-year-old Richard Joshua Reynolds ventured into the town of Winston, N.C and commenced what would become a massive chewing-tobacco manufacturing operation that would play a key role in the development of Winston-Salem for over a century.

Known as Factory 64 at the time, the Plant 64 complex is comprised of buildings and structures ranging from 1916 to post 1960s construction.

65We evoked an urban-industrial aesthetic, where we sought to highlight and repurpose the buildings history, and blend it with modern-chic comfort and a machine-age personality. We collaborated with Commonwealth Architects and Capstone Building to transform the factories into the trendiest luxury apartment complex in the area with amenities such as a sizable community/game room, a rooftop deck, business center, conference room, state of the art fitness area and studio, indoor basketball court, and an outdoor refuge equipped with televisions, game tables, a movie theater and bistro, fire-pits, a massive circular bar and pool.
