What It’s About: Teaching is the new selling tool, and buying homes is a retail experience. This advanced session will discuss the top trends in home design and sales for 2017, including: what each generation is looking for when purchasing a new home; what colors appeal to each generation; fit, fixture and finish trends; lighting and flooring; the latest technology for the connected home and the items that must be included in your model home to create that perfect retail experience.

What You’ll Learn: Learn why buying and selling homes is a retail experience. Identify what each generation desires in their new home purchasing experience and how to market to each. Discover what is trending in new homes for 2017 and how to increase profit centers with these trends. Learn what every woman wants in the home buying experience and why that matters.

Continuing Education: NAHB – 1.00 CE hour(s), NKBA – 0.1 CEU(s), AIA – 1.00 LU/HSW hour(s)

How to Attend: Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

IA CES Credit Eligible: NAHB is a Registered Provider with the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems. Credit earned on completion of this course will be reported to CES Records for AIA members by the Provider. Certificates of Completion are available upon request.
